About This Architecture
LCS Corp's three-tier network architecture uses VLAN segmentation across core, distribution, and access layers to isolate legacy devices, workstations, printers, VoIP, Wi-Fi, and specialized equipment like Veeam backup and Canon imaging systems. Traffic flows from the Internet through a core firewall and core switch, then splits across left and right distribution switches that connect to dedicated access switches for each VLAN segment. This design enforces network isolation, simplifies management of static and DHCP address spaces, and supports both wired and wireless clients across multiple security domains. Fork this diagram on Diagrams.so to customize VLAN ranges, add additional access switches, or adapt the topology for your own enterprise network. The reserved 172.16.248.0/21 vendor block demonstrates best practices for third-party device integration while maintaining segmentation.
